Queensland statutory bodies may choose to either purchase insurance from the commercial sector or participate in the Queensland Government’s selfinsurance scheme, subject to meeting specific criteria. QGIF is managed by Queensland Treasury to provide consistent, comprehensive and cost-effective insurance protection across the Queensland Government.
