All Queensland Government departments must insure with QGIF. This guarantees uniform, extensive and cost-effective insurance protection across the State government sector.
Statutory bodies have the option of purchasing insurance from the commercial sector or participating in the self-insurance scheme, provided they meet certain criteria and obtain Queensland Treasury’s approval.
