Safety first

Safety of staff and the public is paramount. Ensure everyone is safe and out of harm’s way. Follow Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) on social media or visit their website for regular updates.

Document the damage

Take photos of all damaged property prior to commencing any repairs.

Notify QGIF

At your earliest convenience, notify QGIF of your impending claim on 07 3035 6367. QGIF will confirm coverage or may refer you to Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) if not insured by QGIF but still deemed an essential public asset.

Fix it

Follow your agency’s procurement procedures to repair or replace any damaged property. Keep a record of discarded items. Retain all receipts and records relating to your claim.
